Dr. Russell T. Warne is an assistant professor of psychology in the Department of Behavioral Science at Utah Valley University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Brigham Young University and his doctoral degree in educational psychology (with an emphasis in research, measurement, and statistics) from Texas A&M University. The paper is his third published in GCQ, and his fourth paper in the journal—on human intelligence—is in press. He has also published research in The Journal of Educational Research, the Journal of Psychoeducational Assessment, NASSP Bulletin, and the Journal of Advanced Academics.

Dr. Warne is honored to receive this award, especially with so many superb articles published in GCQ last year. 2014 was a particularly strong year for GCQ, and he encourages NAGC members to read, share, and cite the other excellent articles published last year in GCQ (especially the work by Hernández Finch et al., McBee et al., McCoach et al., and Reis et al.).
