Chrystyna Mursky

Dr. Chrystyna Mursky has been involved in education for over thirty years and in gifted education for more than twenty years.  As a classroom teacher, she taught mostly science and math at the middle school and high school levels.  She served as a gifted and talented resource teacher and K-12 G/T coordinator in rural, suburban, and urban school districts in Wisconsin.   For the past seven years Chrys has been the State Director for Gifted and Talented and Advanced Placement at the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.  She has been an active member of NAGC, including contributing author to the 2010 NAGC Pre-K-12 Gifted Programming Standards, a member of the Equity and Diversity Committee, and a member of the Legislative and Advocacy Committee. Chrys is the President of the Council of State Directors of Programs for the Gifted.  She holds Bachelor’s degrees in zoology and elementary education, a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and a PhD in Educational Policy and Leadership.
