NAGC works to support those who enhance the growth and development of gifted and talented children through education, advocacy, community building, and research
The National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) is pleased to announce the 2021 NAGC Gifted Coordinator Award recipient. Each year, the association recognizes a school district’s gifted coordinator or administrator who has made significant contributions to gifted students in their district.
This year’s recipient is Julie Gann, gifted and talented coordinator, Fayette County Public Schools, Kentucky. Prior to her current role, she was a gifted and talented instructional specialist, as well as a gifted and talented resource teacher for 10 years in Fayette County Public Schools. Julie has been a change agent for gifted and talented students in Fayette County, ensuring that each student has opportunity and access to gifted and talented programming and services.
“NAGC has a long history of dedicated members who have worked tirelessly to advance the field of gifted education and support our gifted students. I congratulate Julie and look forward to recognizing her achievements during the Celebration of Excellence during the NAGC Annual Convention in November,” said Lauri Kirsch, NAGC Board President.
