NAGC Congratulates 2021 Community Service Award Recipient

The National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) is pleased to announce the 2021 Community Service Award recipient. Each year, the association recognizes a group or individual who has made a contribution that benefits the development of gifts and talents in young people in a community, state, or nation. This contribution must affect the larger community, state, or nation.

This year’s recipient is MaryGrace Stewart, Ed.D., Director of Ideal4Gifted and President Massachusetts Association for Gifted Education. Dr. Stewart has been a talent development teacher for over 35 years, is a member of several NAGC networks, and serves as a reviewer for Teaching for High Potential magazine. This year, she is also the program chair for the Parent & Community Network at the annual NAGC conference.

“NAGC has a long history of dedicated members who have worked tirelessly to advance the field of gifted education and support our gifted students. I congratulate Dr. Stewart and look forward to recognizing her achievements during the Celebration of Excellence during the NAGC Annual Convention in November,” said Lauri Kirsch, NAGC Board President.
