The National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) will honor Cheryll Adams with the 2018 NAGC President’s Award at the NAGC 65th Annual Convention in Minneapolis, MN, November 15-18.

Dr. Adams is the Director Emerita of the Center for Gifted Studies and Talent Development at Ball State University.

“There are many individuals who would be worthy recipients of this award, but I kept thinking of all the ways Cheryll has contributed through the years, and it was that longevity of impact that catapulted her to the top of my list,” said Sally Krisel, NAGC Board President. “It is my honor to recognize Cheryll Adams, an outstanding scholar, author, teacher, and a true friend of NAGC.”

Dr. Adams has made many contributions to the field of gifted education. She is a former member of the NAGC Board of Directors and a past president of the Indiana Association for the Gifted and past president of The Association for the Gifted, a division of the Council for Exceptional Children.
