The National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) today announced Lisa Rubenstein will receive the 2018 NAGC Early Leader Award at the NAGC 65th Annual Convention in Minneapolis, MN, November 15-18, 2018. Dr. Rubenstein is an associate professor at Teachers College, Ball State University.

The Early Scholar Award recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions in conducting and reporting research regarding the education of gifted and talented individuals, and who is in the first 10 years of the field or the first 10 years after completion of his or her last earned degree. Dr. Rubenstein has established an impressive record of conducting and reporting research related to the education of gifted and talented children.

“The awards program shines a light on those who are making a difference in supporting gifted children as they reach to achieve their personal best,” said M. René Islas, NAGC Executive Director “Dr. Rubenstein is an exceptional scholar whose research in creativity, motivation, and differentiation is well respected.”
